SIMONE MCINTYRE

I am a London born actress on a mission to kindle emotions and imaginations.  I am also a US green card holder and spend my time between my homes in New York and London.

I speak fluent French  and Spanish and these skills as a linguist have led me to work internationally.

January 2017: Filming a Black Mirror-style Sci-Fi Short "Transit" with Barefeet Films playing a cold and robotic therapist.

 My 2017 projects this year include a comedy pilot Z-List, a Pia Pressure New Voices 2016 award winning script in which I play a cutthroat agent to a hapless reality star.  In February 2017 I will perform in I am taking part in a scratch performance of a short play called "From Here"  as part of theatre company Goblin Baby's theatre artistic response to Brexit and the Trump election, "Where Do We Go From Here".

I will also present an e-course on the fear of flying in Spanish.  I am also newly represented as voice-over artist by Just Voices.

2017 also marks the beginning of my journey as a writer, creating my own projects.  My first project "Double Entendre" is about shadow intelligence agent, haunted by guilt and suspicion seeks to learn the truth about her estranged father's underworld connections and her abducted sister.  Check back for more details!

In December 2016 I recorded Spanish narration for the Association for the Prevention of Torture. 

"Pale Imitations" had a London reprise @Rosemarybranch in September with a live band, following a successful run @thespaceuk at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival and successful sell-out preview @Rosemarybranch in July.  The play is a poetic mix of sophistication and style, about love and relationships set against a backdrop of art, featuring new live jazz.

My most recent feature "Sweetboy" made its UK television debut in May 2016 on the London Live Channel. Following Official Selections at the 2014 American Black Film Festival and the 2015 San Francisco Black Film Festival.   It is now on release  reelhouse.org.
